I have the same limits on lift and I have used a barnet quad 300 for years, yep a cross bow. I also have a 5 line scope, and a rope cocking device that I use. Takes one finger on each hand to pull it back. I've taken a good 10 deer with that set up in the past years. I also have a cross bow permit and in my state its a life time permit. One thing to remember is that you still have a 50 yard limit as far as being able to kill a deer with any cross bow. Only thing that you gain with a cross bow is that you don't have to hold it in the ready postion as you do with other bows but you have the same limits as far as effective kill shoots. I spent a good bit of time learning about them before I got my first one and it will probably be my last one. Cost me around $500 about 8 or so years ago from brass pro shop in springfield Missouri. Season opens here friday
