Easiest way is probably to just turn the injection pump down a little, then you can be reasonably sure it'll pass. I had a 93 Ford diesel (pre-powerstroke) when I moved out here from California a year and a half ago. It smoked a LOT more at this altitude. Fortunately we live just outside of the area that requires smog checks. Poke around some of the diesel truck sites for instructions. I'm not familiar with the Chevy diesel, but on most mechanical injection pumps its a very simple adjustment. Keith
