Smell of fall

Around my parts there is a distinct "smell" of fall. It is the smoke coming out of the curing barns from the hardwood fires that are curing out the many tobacco crops. I can count 12 within a mile of my place smoking now (2 are mine). The smell means a highly labor intensive crop is harvested which is a big sense of relief. Happy fall to all.
