Virgil I tried real hard not to answer this post, but I just could not pass this chance to get on the soap box! My wife and I live in a small rural area here in Missouri. We moved from the city 6 years ago on our familys century farm, I have helped the family on this farm for thirty years and we are now living our dream, well almost. Urban sprawl or white flight or whatever you want to call it has bitten our community also like so many others. Saturday we went to the local coffee shop for breakfast, as we were leaving a thirty year old man,I assume his wife and a boy child of no more than 5 or 6 years of age were going to the door, as they approached the door this little kid screamed at his dad"Hurry up and open the door" the father replied"please don't be that way" and the kid said " I said now!" Pardner I would have been afraid to speak to my father like that when I was 30 years old, I would not have had to worry about dining, because I would not have had any teeth to chew with! I do not blame any one for moving to the country but when they do they need to bring their balls with them! Golf team my A$$ these boys should be putting up hay and such, not influinsing their ways on other hard working kids, and these young parents must not have any self respect or they would demand respect from their children!!!!I am sorry I just don't get it, has the world passed me by? Every time I turn the local and world news on the T.V. I get mad, disgusted and sick all at the same time. I know their are good people out their I read about them on this forum every day, I call them my friends. So whats is it going to take to bring down the lawyers, rapists, child molesters and thieves and give this country back to folks with morales and good common sense, I know most of you are on the same page as I am I can read it in your posts, as in thinking about the past, the frustrations of day to day operations etc. I too enjoy my memories, but I sure as heck want to look forward to the future! Sorry about the length of this mess , but didn't I mention soap box!!!!!Mike

Today's Featured Article - Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out. After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga ...
