Hi Guys, Combining Soybeans here in Ohio. I like to play around hauling the wagons out of the field every now and then. I had 2 gravity wagons with 322 bushels of soybeans, i.e. 20,000 lbs, approx. I tried all 3 vehicles and which one do you think was able to pull the wagons out of the field? Only 1 was able to do it without spinning out, etc. The soil was soft from recent rains and the tires were wet and was going up a slight incline. In no special order: The F250 truck is 1992 Diesel 4x4 with good tread. The JD 50 (28 HP) has 14.9 x 38 tires loaded with fluid, tread is 50% The Ford 900 (45 hp) has new rear tires, 13.6 x 28? that are loaded with calcium as well. Only 1 was able to pull them out without digging a hole...which one was it.. I can post back with the answer later...

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
