Tractor Pulling Contest

To bad they don't a place for tractor pulling talk here. Then it would be a one stop web site. With all the tractor people here at least some of you most be involved in pulling contest.
After winning several contest with ease I lost one because I had to much power. I never dreamed to much power could be a problem. The track was really loose and I ran down and spun the tires with out the least bit of pulling. The under powered tractor did not have the power to break his tires loose. I learned a lesson. Next time I will back off on the throttle a little. Or go up another gear. At this contest most of the tractors reversed position from the week before. It was not just me. Fouth place end up first and first dropped back to second or third. I was a one shot deal. No practice and everybody just stuck to what they did before. I lacked the guts to try a high gear. Did think I needed too. I thought it was in all in setting up the tractor bit that is only half the battle. You have to read the track and make the correct adjustments.
