To us, the engagement really isn't all that long, atleast not in this area. I knew long ago that I wanted to put a ring on her finger, but I wanted to be able to afford a nice ring, not just some cheap thing you can get out of a vending machine and I've never had any kind of funding. I've been planning how to propose for over a year so I really paid attention to her, (not that I don't otherwise) but to get the details and find the perfect place to do it. She mentioned going to a dinner theater (saw the ad for the show) and I found my place, and the show was fantastic. We had a drink in the bar while the cast came out and sang a little in caborette fashion and just after midnight I dug the ring outta the pocket of my coat that she was wearing and got down on one knee... the rest is history. We plan to get married on May 10, 2008 because that is 6 years to the day we have been together so it's kinda sentimental(she's wanted that date for atleast the last 1 1/2 years), and we'll both be out of school for atleast a few months by then. It'll also give me time to get a job worth having that pays decent, and to find a place to live since we're both still living at home with the parents. I like my job and more importantly the career I'm in right now, but the pay kinda sucks. I'm just waiting to get through school and then I'll start going for either a large raise or a company that really appreciates their employees and pays them accordingly. Donovan from Wisconsin

12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
