When working the weldshop we were called several times to come heat the clamps to move them. Never did heat them just one big rap on the end of the axle with a sledge hammer and 90% of them came loose. Some poeple here say it will cause damage inside but we don't know of any damage on the 10 or so we did. Even had a call from a dealer once to heat as the service techs could not move one. Drove to the shop with the service truck got out the sledge instead of the torch and they said what no torch. Hit it once loaded the hammer up and went home and sent a $35 bill for service call to the deere dealer. Suit yourself as to if you want to try it ot not. Gary
