Not to jack the thread, but my old man bought our first new piece of equipment. A spanking new set of discs. High dollar. 7 foot and heavy as h**l. Didn't even need to put any ballast on 'em. Cut like a scalpel. Pretty blue paint and fresh black rubber grease seals. He even brought people up to look at 'em. Well, a few weeks later (after a coat of wax) they were struck by lightning. Blew off the paint and burned up the grease and seals. Then they looked exactly like the sets all the neighbors had (and better matched the rest of our implements...). They say pride cometh before the fall....
