About 30 years ago I was in a Frame and spring repair shop in Dallas getting the rear springs re-arched for my car and they had a Pherd Cab Over truck tractor in there doing some type of work to it. I said something to the driver about the jimmmy 6-71 in his truck and he quickly said that"s a DETROIT Diesel not a jimmy!!! OooKay... I think he believed it. I have a John Deere 440ICD and it clearly says GM Diesel on the valve cover of the 2-53. Bryce
