Yepper, I'm familiar with those darned drain hoses. :>) This gizmo is a completely separate thing mounted clear back behind the original A/C and heater box. They've cut a hole in the roof and mounted it in there with a silicone sealer all the way around. I'll have to make another plate to cover this one-foot-square hole and add some sound deadening material. All of the original air conditioning stuff is there except those condenser motors/fans, the compressor/belt, hoses and mounting bracket. Think I know what happened. Somebody probably told him that it would take a small fortune to convert it to R-134a and fix the original problem too. Think he just opted for a cheaper fix. However, I don't think it would be too much of a chore to get air back to 'er; just the hassel of rounding up all of the missing parts and throwin' it back together again. Allan

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
