We drained almost a hundred gals out of an old dragline that had set close to ten yrs, we let the 1st 5-6 gals drain on the ground cause it was all water, then run the rest thru a big funnel with a cpl layers of window screen in it, got prob another gal worth of crap that looked like shredded cigars by the time we were done. but the fuel worked fine in a loader we had. I think the fuel stays fine its just all the crap in it that ya gotta get out
