I have a an F350 Powerstroke and my gross combined weight is limited to 20,000 lbs. That means the weight of the truck and the trailer + payload combined cannot exceed 20,000lbs. Your F350 weighs about 6600 lbs so you have 13400 lbs of trailer and cargo you can haul. Your trailer probably weighs about 4000+ pounds, so that gives you about 9,000 +/- pounds of actual payload to haul. The fact that your trailer is rated for more weight is immaterial;it's weight you can't use. You'll need a bigger combined weight rating on the tow vehicle to use the additional capacity.
