The real problem isn't getting it apart, it's getting the fitting out of the manifold without breaking it. I've had to remove several intake manifolds to drill out and re-tap broken off connectors. The part isn't very expensive, but the headache is gigantic. That being said, you really should replace that whole fitting. Use some heat on the base (gently, it's aluminum) and very carefully try to remove it. It would also help to pray real hard, and maybe fast for a day or two, just to be safe.
