My neighbor's JD 5525 w/all of 67 hrs. has started to intermitantly blow white smoke and at the same time loose power. There are also signs of soot and perhaps some oil migrating down the side of the exhaust pipe. Fuel filter has been changed to rule out the simple stuff. The tractor is turbocharged and I think the seal on the inlet side may be leaking oil. Any thought on this? The dealer thinks it may be a leaking head gasget but I see no obvious signs of this. (antifreeze in oil, bubbles in radiator) Neighbor is loosing confidence in JD... They replaced his first 5525 @ less than 100 hrs. because they could not find out why the transmission (shuttle shift...electronic)kept going into neutral. Tractor was in the shop over 4 weeks without a lonar right in the middle of 1st cutting! Now this is happening and he is not a happy camper! Anyone have an Idea what the problem might be here. Any ideas would be appreciated. Andy
