Yes you can, but should you? Your safety should be the most important thing to keep in mind. The only time I perfer to hear the sound "KaBoom" is when I pull the trigger on the shotgun and I watch another white wing dove fall to earth. That being said, I would use a battery charger with a 6/12 volt capability. Mine does, and also has a setting for a quick charge.
