My husky starts good. It was over a $100 cheaper than the comparable Stihl 260. To start it all you do is put the choke on and pull it till it fires, then push the choke off and it starts in one pull. Putting the choke on automatically sets the throttle at half and doesn't go to idle until you pull the trigger after it's started. When it's warm it starts right up. I'm not sure if the newer models are as good. The 55 was an exceptional saw so they left it alone. I think they stopped making it because of emissions or something like that. Dave
