Disconnect the (small) wire from the coil to the distributor. Using two jumpers with clips on their ends, take a ignition condenser and attach one jumper from its body mounting tab to ground. Take the other jumper and go from the coil empty terminal (from above disconnect) to the lead on the condenser. Pull the spark coil wire out of the distributor, and tape it so it is 1/4" away from the engine block. Turn on the ignition and (holding the body of the condenser)touch the condenser lead to a clean shiny ground. A tiny spark may happen at the point in time when you touch it, but when you pull it away the spark at the coil wire should jump fat and blue to the block. If this works, you have either a bad electronic unit, or it is not wired correctly, or it is for the wrong polarity of battery ground in your unit. Good luck, JimN
