Most want-a-be farmers don't own enough ground to turn a B and plow around. It is not the life style that few if any on this board want to embrace, but it is more normal than what we are doing. If you have a garden to plow, and fields to make hay or cultivate in any of the more populated regions, than you are probably envied by others more than you realize. Remember that the few farm families still in business generally have at least two children, many have more, and only one usually farms. This leaves a lot of potential buyers for farm memorabilia such as toys, sales literature, etc. Personally, if I had a great childhood growing up on a farm which used a 3020 and other JD equipment, and was now stuck full time in a Chicago condo with a decent job, $1500 would be a small price to pay for the good old memories. I might even invest in a large sand box to play along with any future grandchildren.
