As the other posted stated, Perkins was one engine used - 354 cube around 100 horse. I had several Longs over the years - got them as "el cheapo" trade-ins at a Deere dealership I worked at. Some engines were Zetor, Ursus, UTB, Perkins, and probably more. My first little 4WD - a 410 - started getting coolant into the engine oil - back in the early 80s - I couldn't find any parts - not even a head-gasket. Had to work on the fuel-injection pump once - and again - could find nothing - it was made in Romania. I had to make a few parts. I was told later on, late 90s, that Long had been taken over by Leyland - and some older parts were made available. My 4WD 410 still sits in a neighbor's field. The guy bought it for $400 around 20 years ago and it's sat there ever since.
