I have a 2000 with turf tires on the rear and a loader. I have chains to fit the rear turfs and once I put them on leave them on until I have to leave the farm. I run them in the summer too and never so much as slip even in wet grass on hills. Going slow enough it does not tear up the grass. Since I don’t hit much payment the chains are not showing much for wear either. I built the single cross chains from standard chain instead of twisted style. I bought the chain from Farm and Fleet, oversized the cross pieces by 1 link, and tension them with 2 15 inch rubber bungee cords crossed on each side. Sure they do bounce a little on harder ground but I can take it anywhere on the farm without being worried about soft ground or snow. Works great in the spring mud. My turfs are all but worn out but the casings are holding air fine so I won't replace them until one goes. It’s been close to 10 years here too.
