I've bought tractors,books,parts and equipment off ebay with only 1 potentially bad experience which turned out OK.
With high $$$ items I always ask for a phone # call and talk to the seller and tell them I'll have a mechanic or myself come check it out.If a seller is 'screwy' or doesn't want the item looked at I don't bid.
