The first 235's came out in the bigger trucks in 1946. Both motors had the two studs through the top cover. The 235's also had oil pans that were stamped with "235" on the side. There were other differences, but they looked pretty close to each other! You are correct - the M8 is a 10mm plug. I'm just looking for a replacement that is easier to get ahold of!
