there was a thread on here awhile back, that the remington 710 was a cheap beater gun for your tractor or truck, well it IS cheap, and you COULD use it as a beater gun.. but I think it is a pretty darn nice gun for the price, and can drive tacks at 200 yards.. I have a little over $400 in my gun, becouse of a new 4X12 bushnell scope and a bipod.. all from wall-mart.. and the price of the gun in now under $200.. so if you are looking for a good, $500 gun for under $300, it's the gun for you.. mine is in 30-06 and while it has a good bit of kick, it can blow a hole right though a 1/4 inch piece of steel at 150 yards.. Identifying Tractor Smells - by Curtis Von Fange. We are continuing our series on learning to talk the language of our tractor. Since we can’t actually talk to our tractors, though some of the older sect of farmers might disagree, we use our five physical senses to observe and construe what our iron age friends are trying to tell us. We have already talked about some of the colors the unit might leave as clues to its well-being. Now we are going to use our noses to diagnose particular smells. ELECTRICAL SMELLS
