Sounds like a pretty typical November on the NW coast to me. Just palin owly! When I lived there (37 years),it wasn't uncommon to have a howler storm around Thanksgiving with the turkey in the oven and end up finishing the bird in the barbeque! Back in February of '96, we got 16+ inches of rain in three days out of a "pineapple express".
