Just read your other post above about needing the smaller 60A double pole box. I don't believe you even need it, It might be handy to shut off power to your welder with out unpluging it, or walking over to the main building panel, But as long as your the power for your plug goes into a 30 Amp double pole breaker in the pain panel using the correct size wire, it will be protected. No need for the smaller box. Hope this helps, Brett (Second year vo-tech electrical student)
