I remember in the 80's when a popular farm magazine had a cover story, that we will likely never see corn below $3 again, because things & the world had changed fundamentally. The following harvest, corn was $1.90 a bu. After that, it went to $1.42 a couple years later. Sigh. People who aren't in ag on other forums are talking about the high crop prices, & it's because of ethanol, and we won't be able to afford food any more.....
This same group, 3 moths ago, was complaining about all the 'free lunch' farmers get from govt subsidies, and crop prices should pay the way, not the govt. Sigh. --->Paul

12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
