I agree there are certain places without deer and certain places with alot of deer. But it does not matter if there are 20 or 5 they will still run into the road and get hit becuase there are twice as many cars as there used to be. I know from exsperiance that deer do less damage to crops than Squirlles, Turkey,Crows, and Racoons,I see it every day. I had a neighbor with apple trees he complained about the deer eating the buds on the trees. then that fall he had thousands of drops just sitting there rotting away I dont get it. In my area we used to have between 10 and 14 deer It was nice now they have it dropped down to 3 to 5. There just has to be a better way of doing this.The dec wants to know why hunters are not buying there licence anymore. Well the working man has about 3 to 8 days to hunt during our season and would like to be able to see an adult deer to harvest.I am not saying stop the dmps for ever just long enough to repopulate the area's that need it. There has to be a better way maybe they need to go on a town to town basis I dont know but most of the hunters I talk to are at wits end.
