Is the MAP sensor connected up... both wiring connector, and vacuum line, following the emissions diagram? Have you disconnected the battery to clear the code, and them does it come up again? (The MAP code MAY have NOTHING to do with starting, or it MAY be significant IF the sensor is not plugged in, the wiring is mucked up, or the sensor is whacked out.) If won't start 'cause of fighting the starter, due to early ignition timing, retard the timing 'til it will start. Then, following the procedure on the emissions decal, unplug the "set timing" connector, set the timing with a timing light, shut it down, connect the "set timing" connector back up, and see where that gets you.
