I'm real interested in hearing what you guys think about combines of different types, because around here men usually have combines for longer than they stay married. I'm still married and our K Gleaner clanks on. The original question was best combine ever made and I think it's got to be a tie between the AC 60 and the Massey Harris Clipper. Both of them not expensive, easy to run, easy to fix, and thresh anything the knife could chop off. We had a Case 700 for awhile, great work, good sample, easy to handle. On the down side, horrible to work on and no parts available even 25 years ago. Our neighbour has always run Masseys, started with a 60 pull type, now runs a 760. Work with a guy with an IH 1440. Does good work, but we need the straw and there isn't any behind these things. Rotaries are being traded on conventionals around so people have some bedding. Tom
