Had a stressfull fast paced management job and was well taken care of with a high salary and good bonuses(but not always). I saved and saved. Sold the old home for twice what I purchased it after 6 years. Bought this place with just a bit smaller income. went from 14 hour days of constant stress to 3-5 hour days of caring for chickens and trying to get the best production as possible. I hunt when I want, I fish when i want, I am with my family 10 times as much as before. To me I sorta retired. Good salary led to great 401K savings that should be sitting real good in 25 years. Should have this place payed off in 8. Help my neighbors whenever they need it. But it could all go south in an instance, so I am thankfull for everything.
