Try Northern Tool & Equipment Company (Formerly known as Northern Hydraulics). They have a video for $12.99 (Item #17624-C141) and a book, YOU CAN BUILD YOUR OWN LOG SPLITTER for $8.99 (Item #1760-C141). They also have a Three-Point Hitch Log Splitter for Tractors with auxilary hydraulics at $399.99 (Item #1172-C141). Northern sells all of the parts (motors, pumps, cylinders, hose, valves, etc.) required to build your own. However, unless you have some of the major components it is hard to beat the price of a ready-made splitter. Northern has a web site (below) and a their toll free order line is 1-800-533-5545.
