I have a 1972 Wheel Horse GT-14 with a 48" mower deck. The deck has three blades with the center one positioned slightly ahead of the outer ones so that they overlap without hitting each other. I bought them used about a year ago, and they were working just fine. Recently however, it has started leaving a strip of grass about 3" wide that is not cut. It appears to be between the left and center blades. I have removed the deck several times to check it and can't find anything wrong. I replaced the belt that ties the three blades together and made sure it was tight. None of the blades are hitting the housing or each other. All three blades appear to be straight and standard length. The pins that prevent each blade from slipping are in place. I have tried cutting with the engine running faster and the tractor moving slower, but nothing seems to completely eliminate the strip of uncut grass. Basically I am stumped. If anyone can offer any suggestions on how to get this tractor cutting properly again, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, I have been unable to find any manuals for either the tractor or the mower deck. I have called Toro's 800 number, but they said it is apparently out of print. I would appreciate it if anyone can tell me how or where to get a manual.
