How I handle it and would expect other to handle it. If some one commits I give em a week to get me paid, tell all others they can come look if they want , but a sale is pending. If some one happens to want it and has the cash I tell them honestly it's sold, if the deal falls through, I'll call them ASAP. I have been one that has been promised over the phone it'll be held for me a day or two only to get there and it was sold. Ya cant put promises in the bank, but if you expect some one that says they'll buy, to buy it. Ya darn well better have the dignity to hold it as sold if ya told the guy its his.
