A 2096 is apparently one of the best Case tractors. I know some people with one. Over 14,000 hours on original engine. It's a 5.9 Cummins, similar to Dodge cummins, but is a little thirsty when worked. They had a problem with the shift linkage and also when you down shift the power shift it jerks and almost shoots you through the window in high gear if you don't idle down first. They use it as an all around chore and work tractor and it holds up pretty good even though they aren't the best at routine maintenance. Dave
