Want Hercules Engine infohistory

I own a truck with a Hercules JXC gasoline engine.
I'd like to have some more info and history about the JXC,JXD,DJXC/D series of engines. What are the differences between the mil. and civ. types? What are the differences between the tractor and truck types? How come that many of these engines went to europe in the post-war period (Daf-holland) and russia (WWII,studebaker)? What are the differences between the gasoline/diesel types, can they be converted?
Is there a website? If not, maybe I will make one. greetings, richard
