I have DirectTV here in Northern NJ. My primary reason for selecting it is because I hate the cable companies so much. Have the same problems when it rains or snows . . . get alot of "digital" interference. Otherwise reception is fine. My biggest problem is that where I live is surrounded by large trees. There was only one open "slot" via which I could aim the dish (from the highest point on my house, the chimney actually )at their satelite. Unfortunately after 3 years, the tree it was aiming over has grown enough that I can"t use the TV when the leaves are on the tree. Have to either take down the tree or top it. Make sure you check for clear sight to their satelite before you sign up!
