Kent; Welll- I grew up farming with horses. Worked for a fellow from 12 on (farmed out) that used catapillars to clear and operate several sections of dry land wheat out in Washington. Drove a lot of different tractors over the years working for the other fellow. My first (owned) was a JD 720 and still love the feel and sound of it. Dont feel the same about the new generation of tractors. I also am sentimental about the past and look forward to the visits from the Grandkids. That is the reason for "making hay" now, get the kids involved. Have a good day. Bob

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
