For Alan in Ne. OT chevy truck transmission proble

Alan, I have never herd of a fuel filter affecting a tranny before, Could you elaborate on this for me. Just to satisfy my curiousity anyway, I plan on going with brokenwrench's idea first. I haven't the foggiest clue where they put the fuel filter on these trucks unless its on the pump in the tank. I agree that the tranny isn't bad, at least by what I know to look for, Burnt fluid, slipping drive clutches Etc. Mike.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion.
