OK,so you are serious,sorry about the smartazz comment.. take a look at the gulfstream,good part of texas and southwest oklahoma have been sitting in a low pressure area for a long time now,from warmer waters than usual in the pacific,they are still calling it the El Nina/Nino effect,can't remember which..this pocket of low pressure is calm cold air,thats why the contrails linger for hours,the air up there just isn't moving much..it's also why some of the nothern states are gettin so much rain,the gulfstream is carrying it up there.. the weather guys say it should all return to normal next year.. who knows..it's not as exciting as a goverment conspriracy plot,but it's true..
