Books of that era - 1956 +/- show 13.6-38. I suspect they may have had a 1 size upgrade to 14.9-38. Size markings have not changed since then - but the earlier tires of the same size would have been 12-38 and 13-38 respectively. As far as I can tell, the 13.9 size was a slightly lower profile (actually shorter than 13.6) used primarily on JD 620/630 in the 36" rim size - can"t find any 13.9-38. The 15.5 size was again a lower profile version compared to the 14.9 and again I can only find it in the 38" rim size, but it became popular as a replacement for 14.9-38 and by the late 50"s / early 60"s it was the only way to go for that size tractor.
