This area of South Dakota got hit hard with ice one year ago. Some customers went up to 4 weeks without power.
Today, one year later, they are just getting done with tightening lines, straightening poles, etc. There was something in excess of 10,000 broken poles. Utility crews from neighboring states came and pitched in for a couple of weeks.
Ice is worse than any blizzard!
