Hey all, Has anybody seen this story out there in some form or another. It has been telephoned so much that it"s happened anywhere from Illinios to Minnesota but the real deal is it happened in Osceola,WI. Guy was out combining his corn in November, big international with duals, sinks the thing up to the axels. Thinks he hit badger den so calls pop to come pull him out. Guy won"t even get on the ground because he doesn"t want anything to do with a ornery badger. Tells pop to bring a gun so there won"t be any problems. So dad comes out with mom, who brings camera to take pictures of scaredycat(?)son. Find out that it is not a badger hole but a bear den. Bear is trapped by the combine sitting on top of him. End up shooting the bear and then pull combine out. Pictures in the local paper and out on the NET somewhere. Neighbors eating good and farm family has a new bear rug at the cabin.
