UPS just delivered a new rim to replace the split rim on my newly acquired Ford 3400 with loader. My current plan is to buy canned rustoleum paint to spray paint the rim to match. Load the tractor and take it to tire store to have the rim replaced and refilled with calcium chloride. Is there anything else I should be doing? Any recommendation on painting the rim? When loading the tractor, should it go on forwards or backwards (which end is heavier)? The other rim has some rust around the valve stem. Should I sand and repaint the area? Sorry for all the questions, but it's my first tractor and I want to do it right (and not waste my money).
