When I first saw the Air Cleaner setup I thought that they just wanted to save the tubing also. After looking a little closer seems more likely that they just wanted to have that pipe out of the field of vision so they could match the green and yellar ones. Gary I would wonder the same thing as you as to whether you can get enough air through that setup. For my money I would remove it. Those precleaners work pretty well as long as you don't get anything very large in them. Found that out with a 2294 case that needs new foam seal around the radiator. jt
