As a long time B-275 owner I can recommend the B414 as a good 40hp utility tractor. As jdemaris posted it was the next step in the evolution of the B275. The B250('55-'58), B275('58-'61), B414('61-'68) and later the B276 & 434 were made by IH at the old Jowett car factory in Bradford, England. I believe the B250 was exported to Canada while the later B275 & B414 were also exported to the US. For some reason IH stopped exporting the B414 to the US I think around '64 and started sending B414 chassis to the US to build the 424 and later the 444. When the 444 was discontinued IH began exporting these tractors from England to the US again as the 354, 364, and in its final form as the 384. I'm not sure how long the Mahindra relationship lasted but it did start in the early sixties with IH setting Mahindra to produce the B275 for the Indian market. Mahindra produced variations on this same model for 40 years. Luckly I have a dealer not to far away who is an old time IH dealer and also carries Mahindra. He has always been able to get me the parts I need from one of the two sources.
