My limited experience with Deere was it needed a special tool to set a clearance. The J-D choice was to have a lot of slop and then use shims or slots to adjust with a "special tool". My brothers 3020 sets with an inoperative loader because the spool valves need to be "adjusted". Dealer wants $400/valve, I read the manual, the procedure is convoluted. So the initial outlay is costly, you may or may not be able to fix it yourself. The green stuff does work well as a rule, just pricey.
