Sooner think the condensor or the points would be the culprit IF all the wires are good. Don't overlook a bad ignition switch or connection to it. Coils can go bad, but they generally will outlast the points, condensor, and wire connections. Trace the circuit with a meter if you have one. If no meter, use a small 12 volt bulb, socket, and wire. Clip the socket onto the frame or other good ground with some visegrips, and "probe" the circuit with the loose end of the wire to see where the power is or is not getting to. Start with the ignition switch, then the coil terminals, then the connection at the points, etc. Good luck!
