It aint just the Mexicans that will steal anything that aint nailed down. A couple years ago some "Travellers" showed up on my mom's farm (she was 64 and a widow at the time) looking for "work". After harassing her for almost an hour telling her how they'd do any construction job dirt cheap she finally decided they could pull down an old barn and pile it up to burn. While they went to "work" she called a few of my brothers (there's 8 of us) to ask them to come over. The lead Traveller came right into her house and said they wanted paid before they finished the work and offered to haul my mom to town so she could get the money out of her account. About then 4 of my brothers showed up to supervise the work and ran the lead a-hole out of her house. They hadn't torn down anything but had a nice assortment of tools from the machine shed loaded into their camper shell pickups. Before all was said and done the Travelers lost all their IDs, everything they had in their pickups including cloths and fingerprints were taken (one brother was a volunteer deputy with a kit). The local sheriff (who my brother volunteers for) then gave them an escort to the county line. There was no point in filing charges, these guys are always given a low bail amount (non violent crime only involves a few thousand dollars) and then skip town. Usually their identity is never figured out. Ten years earlier they would have ran into the old man and he would have just shot their ***es and buried them in the back 40. http://www.fraudtech.bizland.com/travelers.htm

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
