Just purchased a 1951 Oliver 77 in mint condition. The only problem that there is that there is a slight miss i can hear at the exhaust. I used it for three hours and it ran like a top except for the miss. No smoke lots of power so I don't believe its a carb issue. The miss seems to go away when the engine is under a load. The owner said it needed diffrent plugs so I replaced the D16 Champions for 386 Autolites. Not a bit of diffrence. Cap rotor, spark plug wires and points all look visually fine. I am planning on changing all of that stuff to rule that out. So I am looking for some advice on what it would be. Could it be a bad valve, or worse:) Erik
